GO Pass: June

Niantic is currently testing a new feature in Pokémon GO: the GO Pass. This limited-time, free progression system allows Trainers to collect GO Points, rank up, and earn rewards.

All Trainers will automatically receive the GO Pass: June on Tuesday, June 3, at 10:00 a.m. local time. You can continue collecting GO Points and unlocking rewards until Tuesday, July 1, at 10:00 a.m.

During the weekend of Saturday, June 28, through Sunday, June 29, there will be no daily limit on how many GO Points you can earn.

For those looking for faster progress and extra rewards, there's the GO Pass Deluxe—a paid upgrade that grants access to both free and premium rewards. You can upgrade at any time and retroactively claim rewards from already unlocked ranks.

Note: All rewards from the June GO Pass will expire on Thursday, July 3, at 10:00 a.m. local time, so make sure to claim them in time!

The GO Pass Deluxe, the paid version of the GO Pass, is now also available on the Pokémon GO Web Store! Your GO Pass Deluxe will activate as soon as the GO Pass begins.

Trainers who purchase GO Pass Deluxe: June or GO Pass Deluxe: June + 10 Ranks through the Web Store will receive a special bonus: 10 Ultra Balls, five Max Revives, one Premium Battle Pass, and five Max Potions as a gift with purchase.

Complete Pass Tasks to rank up your GO Pass and earn the following rewards:

• Encounter Articuno with a Delightful Days-themed Special Background!*
• Stardust
• XP
• Max Particles
• Poké Balls
• Candy
• And even more goodies!

Trainers who upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe can also earn:

• A Lucky Trinket
• One Super Incubator
• Additional encounters with even more Pokémon!

• Candy XL
• And even more goodies!

*You might even encounter a Shiny one—if you’re lucky!

The Lucky Trinket returns as the final reward in this month’s GO Pass Deluxe.

A Lucky Trinket is a one-time-use item that lets you turn one friend from your Friend List into a Lucky Friend—even if you’re not Best Friends yet! Once used, both you and your chosen friend will gain Lucky Friend status. The next time you trade, both Pokémon in the trade will become Lucky Pokémon, and your Lucky Friend status will reset afterward.

This exciting item is only available for a limited time. The Lucky Trinket obtained through the GO Pass: June will expire on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. local time, regardless of when it was claimed.

Note:

• You must be at least Great Friends with a Trainer to use a Lucky Trinket on them.
• You cannot use a Lucky Trinket on a Trainer you’re already Lucky Friends with.
• Using a Lucky Trinket does not change trading distance restrictions.
• If you don’t want other Trainers to use their Lucky Trinkets on you, you can disable this option in your Settings page.

According to an update from Niantic on the official Pokémon GO website, the new GO Pass feature is still being tested to ensure it enhances the overall Trainer experience before its full launch.

As part of this testing phase, some Trainers may notice slight differences between their GO Passes, such as:

• Variations in Pokémon encounter visibility between the GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe
• Differences in XP rewards

Trainers can also complete Weekly Tasks to earn points and increase their rank. The Weekly Tasks are as follows:

• Catch 75 Pokémon – 150 PTS
• Win a Raid – 125 PTS
• Make 20 Great Throws – 100 PTS
• Hatch 3 Eggs – 100 PTS
• Spin 25 PokéStops or Gyms – 75 PTS
• Use 20 Berries to help catch Pokémon – 75 PTS
• Earn 10 hearts with your Buddy – 125 PTS

In addition, Trainers can earn up to 250 extra points daily by completing the following tasks:

• Win a Raid – 100 PTS
• Hatch an Egg – 40 PTS
• Catch a Pokémon – 5 PTS
