Mega-Evolved Pokémon Debut
Mega Staraptor makes its Pokémon GO debut in Super Mega Raids!
New Mega Level: Super Max. Mega Staraptor's Mega Level can be increased all the way to Super Max Level for the first time in Pokémon GO. You must increase a Pokémon's Mega Level to Max before you can increase it to Super Max — participating in Mega Raids awards the Mega Energy needed to power up beyond what Mega Evolving alone provides.
Pokémon that unlock Super Max Level can learn an additional Charged Attack while Mega Evolved. Staraptor can use Brave Bird+ while Mega Evolved:
- Trainer Battles: 70 power and decreases the user's Defense by three stages
- Raid Battles: 150 power
The power of this attack increases with Staraptor's Mega Level.
Where to find Super Mega Raids
Super Mega Raids will take great teamwork and may only appear at certain Gyms. Visit the Pokémon GO Map to see where Super Mega Raids might appear during the event, as well as those already in progress.
Staraptor caught from Super Mega Raids will have Mega Level 1 unlocked, and there's an increased chance of encountering a Shiny one.
Timed Research — Gardevoir Encounter
ResearchTimed Research will be available to Trainers during the event. Complete the research tasks to earn a Premium Battle Pass and an encounter with Gardevoir.
Timed Research expires. The tasks must be completed and their rewards claimed before the Timed Research ends.

- Trainers will be able to purchase and gift tickets to any of their Pokémon GO friends that they have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with.

Tickets can be purchased and gifted to any Pokémon GO friend you have reached Great Friends level or higher with. Purchases are non-refundable and cannot be made with PokéCoins. The ticket is only available in the in-game shop until Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. local time.
