Niantic is holding a special raid event on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, featuring dozens of the Pokémon that appeared on the Sunday of Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global.

After further investigation, Niantic has expanded this makeup event to all Trainers worldwide — every region can now take part. The number of free Raid Passes has also been increased from 9 to 12 per day.

The event is compensation for the technical issue that prevented some Trainers from joining Raid Battles during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global. The issue did not consume Raid Passes, but it did stop raids from being joined as normal. Every Raid Boss from the original Sunday returns for the day — including Mega Mewtwo Y in Super Mega Raids.

*The unlimited Remote Raid window is a single fixed global time, so it applies to all Trainers worldwide at once. It opens the afternoon before the event (July 25) and stays open until late on event day, covering the raid hours in every time zone.

The Road of Legends Deluxe Pass rewards are only for Trainers who previously purchased that pass.

Mega Mewtwo Y appears in Super Mega Raids during the event.

Mewtwo caught from these raids may have a Special Background. If a Mewtwo with a Special Background is Mega Evolved, its Mega Evolution’s background gains an additional visual effect.
