Nickit is the featured Pokémon for August 2026 Community Day — and Shiny Nickit makes its Pokémon GO debut!

On Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Nickit will appear more frequently in the wild. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Nickit, and some Nickit may even appear with a Special Background.

Evolve Nickit during the event, or up to four hours afterward, to get a Thievul that knows the Charged Attack Icy Wind.

3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.

2× Candy for catching Pokémon.

2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.

Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.

Lure Modules activated during the event will last for one hour. From 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time, Nickit will have a very high chance of appearing at PokéStops with active regular Lure Modules.

One additional Special Trade can be made, for a maximum of two for the day.
stardust
Trades will require 50% less Stardust.

Featured Pokémon

Nickit will appear more frequently in the wild during the event.

If you’re lucky, you’ll encounter a Shiny Nickit, and some Nickit may appear with a Special Background. From 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time, Nickit will also have a very high chance of appearing at PokéStops with active regular Lure Modules.

In Trainer Battles it has 60 power and lowers the opposing Pokémon’s Attack by one stage.

Evolve Nickit during the event, or up to four hours afterward, to get a Thievul that knows Icy Wind.

Community Day
Community Day is a monthly event where a specific Pokémon appears much more frequently in the wild for a few hours. Players can catch this Pokémon, hunt for Shinies, and enjoy bonuses such as increased XP or Stardust. The Pokémon often learns a unique move during the event.
