The Mystery Box will once again be the key to encountering Meltan during the event.

Trainers can obtain a Mystery Box by sending a Pokémon from Pokémon GO to either Pokémon HOME or to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! on Nintendo Switch.

Using the Mystery Box during the event will allow Trainers to encounter Meltan, with a chance to find a Shiny Meltan if they’re lucky.

The cooldown before the Mystery Box can be opened again will also be reduced for the duration of the event.

GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe

GO Pass: Steeled Resolve – Taken Over is a free, limited-time progression track that lets Trainers earn rewards by collecting GO Points and ranking up.

All Trainers will automatically receive the GO Pass on Tuesday, April 28, at 10:00 a.m. local time. You can earn GO Points and rank up to unlock rewards until Monday, May 4, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

A special bonus period will take place near the end of the event:

  • From Saturday, May 2, at 12:00 a.m. to Monday, May 4, at 7:59 p.m. local time, there will be no daily limit on GO Points earned.

Optional paid upgrades are available:

  • GO Pass Deluxe (US$4.99) – Includes upgraded rewards and faster progression
  • GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks (US$6.99) – Instantly grants enough GO Points to reach Rank 7

Upgrading to GO Pass Deluxe allows Trainers to claim rewards from both the free GO Pass and the Deluxe track. You can upgrade at any time and still collect rewards from previously unlocked ranks.

All rewards must be claimed before Wednesday, May 6, at 7:59 p.m. local time. Prices are listed in USD or the equivalent tier in your local currency.

Complete Pass Tasks and rank up your GO Pass to unlock a variety of rewards.

  • Encounters with Beldum*, Pawniard*, Honedge*, Meltan*, and more
  • 1 Super Rocket Radar
